Essential Oils play a vital role in the Aromatherapy treatments. These oils are extracted from the different plant parts using various processes. Each oil is capable of healing different health related problems without leaving any side effects. Since this is the natural way of treating diseases it became very popular with in a short time.

Each and every oil has its own unique benefits which are found effective in treating several disorders. They are mixed with some carrier oils and then used for the treatments.

Below is the list of some commonly used essential oils and their benefits.

Lavender: Lavender is a very common essential oil and has antiseptic, anti inflammatory, anti bacterial and anti fungal properties. It also helps in calming the body from different emotions and provides comfort when used as a massage oil.

Camomile: Camomile is generally used for baby massages. It helps the babies to have a better sleep and makes them more calmer. It also controls the free radicals which causes skin aging and protects the skin from early aging. It helps in soothing puffy eyes and neutralizes the redness in the skin.

Sandalwood: This oil is generally used for treating common coughs and colds. It do has the antiseptic qualities which effectively fights against disease causing infections.

Cypress: This oil is used for revitalization, to relieve swellings, to reduce pain from menstrual cramps. But the usage should be avoided during first 3 months of pregnancy.

Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is found mostly in all the shampoos and conditioners. It is also used in make up articles like the cleansers, make up removers and the moisturizers. It has strong anti bacterial properties and can fight as a natural wrinkle fighter.

Lemon: Lemon oil can act as a refreshing agent which gives more energy and comfort when used.

These are few of the essential oils which are widely used in the all the major treatments of Aromatherapy. However, high quality pure essential oils will only show better benefits and good results.
