Skoda Enters Mini Car Segment with Its ‘Citigo’

Skoda motors enters the mini car segment with its new brand ‘Citigo’, which is playing a key roll in the Skoda sales growth. The car will be available for their home market in this year ending and it will be available in the UK and other European countries in 2012.

The Citigo car will come with four seat capacity which comes with three door and five door facilities. It will also have the active break features for safety driving and hence it is also called as a city safe driving car.

Citigo is one of the Skoda’s growth strategies. Skoda considersthis small car segment as very promising and is investing in Citigo. Skoda is planning to increase their sales from 7,62,600 in 2010 to 1.5 million units for 2018.

Citigo will be coming with two and three cylinder 1.0L gasoline engine with carbondioxide emission. It provides good fuel efficiency with 4.2 liter per 100km. Skoda has said that, Citigo will be best suitable for the young people, homely driving and the retired people.
