GM sold over one lakh of their units in 2010, and they are performing good at present. They have a plan to sell 1.4 lakh of their units and achieve the 30% higher sales growth than the last year. Presently they have the 250 sales and service centers all over the India, they want to increase it to 300 sales and service centers by the end of the 2011. Chrysler Group LLC, overtook Ford as the biggest seller of light trucks in Canada this year. This is due to the increased demand for fuel-efficient crossover sport-utility vehicles.
The category of light trucks includes pick ups, minivans and SUV’s. The sales of these light trucks grew as much as double the total auto deliveries in the first half of the 2011. Since January, Chrysler has led the deliveries last month. According to Scotia Capital Inc., Chrysler’s Dodge Journey model, which uses less gasoline than a traditional truck-based SUV, has beaten Ford’s Escape and GM’s Chevrolet Equinox in terms of sales. These sales have put Chrysler within less than 4,000 total deliveries of becoming the overall No. 2 automaker in the industry.
According to Des Rosier Automotive Consultant Inc., in the total vehicle sales Chrysler gained 1.6% points of market share to 15% in the first half of 2011from a year earlier. But, GM lost 0.2 points to 15.5percent and Ford led with 17.4 percent of the market.
High fuel prices led many consumers to opt for compact cars and car-based SUVs, commonly called crossovers because of their fuel efficiency,.

Downshift of gear box is caused when the touching the brake while in sport. It is problematic for a driver to notice power shift problems.
Hence, the Focus is found to have both positive and negative features.
In June 2010, The Chrysler Group was standing fifth in the industry sales behind Ford, GM, Toyota and Honda. But in June monthly (2011), Chrysler moved to first position with an increase of 30% sales compared to same period in the last year. It is now the strongest of all auto companies operating in the United States.
In terms of best growth in March, the Patriot has sold 5,602 SUV’s, which is an 109% improvement over march 2010. The Jeep Compass stood second in terms of sales of the Jeep brand with 3,703 units which is a 108% gain. Grand Cherokee stood third with a 64% improvement. Chrysler jeep sales showed 74% improvement June 2011 over June 2010.
The growth rate of sales of various companies are, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Compass improved 208%, Compact Compass improved 278%, Patriot improved 77%, Liberty imporved 36% and the Wrangler improved 27% compared to June 2010.
Wrangler, had sales of 11,290, which made it the strongest models in terms of sales of jeep. Dodge showed 17% increase in sales over last year by selling 43401 units. This growth in Dodge brand was due to Caravan line up which was sold 10,822 units, which was an 25% increase over June last year. It is the only Dodge model which crossed 10,000 vehicle mark. The 2.5 L petrol engine develops about 206 HP and 246nm of torque, reaching 210 km/h top speed and 0 to 100km/h within 10 seconds. 2.0 L diesel engine produces about 176 HP and 350nm of torque. It reached 200 km/h top speed and 0 to 100 km/h within 10 seconds.
